Norway Paris Kiwanis Club Raises $1,245 for Relay for life

On Saturday June 20th 6 members of the Norway Paris Kiwanis Club  participated in the Oxford Hills Relay for life. It was a wonderful event to honor those who are battling cancer and those that lost their battle. The event was held at Oxford County Fairgrounds and featured live music, games for children, a boxcar parade, tribute laps and the luminary ceremony. The Kiwanis club had a pool with a fishing game for the children at the event and gave away prizes. The theme of the boxcar parade was Disney movies. The Club received the most creative award for their Finding Nemo entry and received the coveted giant Rice Krispy Treat prize. Pictured above is Cindy Hakala, Nancy Perham, Vicki Merrill, Hilary Hendricks and Mary Ann Brown, not pictured TJ Williams.  The donation totaling $1,245 included $300.00 from the Oxford Hills Builders Club as well as generous donations from club members and their families. The club was able to also donate several bags of canned food for local food pantries.
